RSU 29 End of the Year Schedule Class of 2020 Monday, June 1: Last Chapel: The 2020 Last Chapel will be held virtually. RSU 29 is working with WHOU to create a production in which all awards & scholarships will be presented virtually. All presenters will be given the option of submitting a clip or having a designated school official present in their place. The virtual Last Chapel will air on whoufm.com beginning at 7:00 pm and will remain on their website for friends and family members to watch at their convenience. Tuesday, June 2: Tribute Video: The release of a Special Tribute Video To The Class of 2020 at 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 2nd. This tribute video will be posted on the RSU 29 Facebook page and on rsu29.org. Wednesday, June 3: Senior Slideshow: At 7:00 pm, the annual senior slideshow will be released on the RSU 29 Facebook page and on rsu29.org Thursday, June 4: Commencement: Commencement will be closed to the general public but will be live streamed on whoufm.com for those who are not able to attend. Commencement will consist of two parts; a parade and a drive-in ceremony including the presentation of diplomas. Beginning at 6:00 pm, graduates and their commencement guests (limited in number) will be invited to participate in the parade that will begin at Houlton Middle-High School. Parade staging will begin in the Houlton Middle-High School parking lot at 5:30pm. The parade route will culminate at Houlton International Airport where the graduation ceremony will take place in a drive-in format, beginning at 7:00pm. Important Reminders: Attire & Financial Need: In the coming days, the class advisors will provide a list of graduation attire requirements and restrictions. Any graduating senior with financial needs in reference to graduation such as dress clothes, should contact Mrs. Shelly Crandall and we will help meet those needs.
Turn-Ins Procedures: All student Macbooks, music instruments, textbooks, band shirts, library books, and other school property must be returned in order for students to participate in the graduation ceremony. On June 1st, 2nd and 3rd, items may be returned to the middle-high school, where staff members will be located from 8:00-2:00pm, outside of the building for the purpose of collecting returned materials. |
