Then click below for the MATHSPLOSION! | Hello, my name is Mr. Craig Fournier and the 2013-2014 school year will mark my 11th year as a 7-12 grade math teacher, with 8 of those years teaching 9-12 grade mathematics. I am very excited to be a part of the math department at Houlton jr/sr high school, and I look forward to a great, and productive year. Here are some things you are going to need to be successful in your math class this year. First, you are going to need a 3-5 subject notebook as you will be practicing at school and at home on a daily basis. Second, you will need a scientific calculator. I would highly encourage you to purchase one that has 2 line out put so that you can see both what you have typed and the answer. Due to the MLTI initiative you will have access to technology that may double as a calculator, but nothing beats a trusty scientific calculator. You will need plenty of pencils, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor. ALGEBRA STUDENTS you will need to make a commitment to 15 minutes of math homework EVERY NIGHT. I will be working very closely with the math lab this year, and Mrs. Brown will be an integral part of meeting student needs. Students not meeting learning goals will be scheduled as needed for math lab until learning goals are met. Mrs. Brown is very excited to work with each of you and looks forward to helping you meet the standards. So, Welcome!! Lets make the 2013-2014 school year one to remember!! |
